I started a new job last Monday. So far, I really like it. As a case manager, my role is to work one on one with a caseload of about 20-25 clients to help them recover from addiction and mental health problems. The first week was really busy and I've only met 5 of my clients so far but I really think I'm gonna like it here.
Alongside my new job, the countdown is truly on to the big day. Everything is pretty much set, now we just wait (and pay off all our vendors). I've been planning for August since February and now it's finally here! I'm so excited for the wedding and our honeymoon! Sweet!
I can't wait to see everyone so soon!

Livin it up
Life is pretty good.
Our Camry is running well so far. Unfortunately we have had to get a new windshield already though, after discovering a small crack in it driving off the lot the day we bought it. Needless to say, the crack spread...a lot. But $200 later, our new windshield is installed and hopefully nothing else will need to be replaced any time soon.
I've started applying to jobs. So far I think I've applied to about 10 different places, mostly on Monster.com. The jobs vary between Case Worker, Social Worker, along with some other various job descriptions that interest me. I hope something comes up soon, I always forget how restless I get with nothing to do during the day.
The wedding plans are coming along great as well. Most people have RSVPd by now and we just had our first meeting with the pastor who is marrying us to do some pre-marital counseling. It was a good time and I am really glad he's marrying us. Next on the list is to do the seating arrangements for the reception, pick out a cake top and figure out what I'm doing with my hair for the wedding!
I'm so excited for the big day! Not only am I tying the knot with the love of my life but we'll also get to see some friends that we don't get to see very often.
I would also like to wish a very happy first birthday to my sweet little niece Maiya!
Phil and I went to visit NJ last weekend to celebrate her birthday and it was great to see everyone.
In all, life is pretty good in Pennsylvania. I really couldn't ask for more :)

Enjoying the process
The past week has been a whirlwind full of wedding planning! I was on Spring Break so instead of getting ahead in my class work, I was in full-on wedding planner mode! I researched photographers, DJs, wedding cakes, invitations...so much more! I must say, although wedding planning can be overwhelming, it is so much fun!
Right now Phil and I have about 50 photographers and DJ e-mails to go through (I posted ads on Craigslist to get some offers..and boy did the offers come). However, there is a lot that we have gotten done!
Just yesterday we spent about 6 hours in Bed Bath & Beyond being treated like a king and queen. I'm telling you, just drop the word 'wedding' and everyone comes running to help you! It's awesome! Everyone in the store was coming up to us asking if we needed anything, did we have any questions, oh and have you seen this latest product that just every couple is dying to have this year?
When we first got there, we were greeted by who I guessed was the manager. Then came Gary. Gary was a God-send! He showed Phil and I all around the store, suggesting certain items but was never pushy or telling us what we should buy, just what he suggested was the better brands and best item for your money. After about 4 hours with Gary as our guide, Phil and I went off on our own to complete our list! It was fun to be able to scan just about anything you can imagine having. Even if you know for sure no one will buy it, it's still nice to dream :-)
Yesterday night, we ordered our invitations! They are super cute, but you will have to wait until you get yours in the mail to see them.
Last, but definitely not least, I bought my wedding dress!!! I am so excited to wear this dress on our special day that I am just bursting from the inside out. My sisters and niece came to visit last Saturday and we spent some long hours in David's Bridal. I absolutely fell in love with the dress I ended up buying..it took a lot to get me out of it :) I also picked out the bridesmaids dresses and Jen and Jes bought theirs that same day.
Needless to say, the wedding planning is coming along nicely! The next step is to narrow down a photographer and DJ...

Oh ring, how I love thee
I picked up my engagement ring on Friday (woohoo!). I looooove it. Seriously, it's as if this little ring was created to eventually become a part of my anatomy. At least, that's how I think of it. It's small so it doesn't overpower my petite hands, yet elegant and shiny. It's, well, perfect :)

Here is a photo of my ring. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a clearer picture than this (I tried about 20 times). I'm not sure if it's my camera or if I just couldn't hold myself still enough but hopefully most of you will eventually see the ring in person.
In other news, Phil and I have decided on a church! We are going to be holding the ceremony in a Baptist church in Hatboro, PA. It's right down the street from Phil's apartment so it's very convenient. We are still deciding on a reception area but we do have a few in mind that we are thinking about.
More to come!
